How Come There is No Cheese In Chinese Food?
Think about it?...Can you think of any traditional Chinese Dish that has cheese in it or on it?
Over a billion people so somebody has to like it? Do they have a cheese industry in China? Maybe they only eat it plain or on its own. Very minimalist's Asian kind of thing. Never have seen the Iron Chef Chen Kenichi (of course he is Japanese only named Iron Chef Chinese) use it on anything.
Chinese have cows, goats or sheep and have domesticated them for centuries. Therefore the main ingredient is available. So lack of resources not applicable.
Most Chinese are not Hindu which is the only religion that prohibits slaughtering cows and using some diary products. So religiously speaking it is not an issue.
Those are the reasons I came up with and eliminated. I welcome an insight here, or are we the freaks for making aged curdled milk a main staple of most meals. I think we should blame Italians since the have cheese in practically everything. Are there less hugely overweight Chinese than Americans? Let's ask the Cheese industry.
I can tell you right now there is no place on earth with as many grotesquely fat gluttons than in the good old US of A! As any traveler knows it is the one thing that is missing no matter how many weeks they are overseas. One may only see one incredibly obese person every week instead of every hour at any fairly busy public place in America. 8-X
